about next auction ?
We invite you to the 2nd annual auction of artworks that painted not only Tibetan children, but also well-known painters who gave us their works.
Revenue in full will be paid to Tibetan TCV Goplapur Boarding School in India. The auction will take place in the new premises of the industrial plant Letohradská 10 on the 24th of November at 7 pm.
A call to painters and other visual artists to take part in the annual charity auction >Aukce pro Tibet<.
We who under the patronage of Pragues Linhart Foundation organize projects, concerts, exhibitions, language courses and other cultural and educational events within the framework of the newly emerging >Tibet Open House< initiative hereby issue this call out to all associated, as well as unassociated artists, creators and diletantes to suppress, or on the contrary, whip up their egos, to face for one second in their life their vanities, to cast away their feelings of inadequacy regarding the results of their creative endeavours, and not hesistate to submit their artwork for the purposes of the >Aukce pro Tibet< (Auction for Tibet). It is a charitative venue offering works of art, the source of which was until recently only the >Samorosti< (Homegrown or Self-taught) independent art competition. The only other source of artwork for the auction are the children from the >TCV< school in Gopalpur, India themselves, towards whose direct support all of the funds procured by the auction are used.
The >TCV< schools and childrens villages provide home and shelter to children living in exile in India, such as Tibetans, providing them in their uneasy situation with a substitute for their lost homes and families, as well as with quality education and social background. Despite the huge effort on part of all who work with these children in these boarding schools, the funds necessary to back their effort in the long-term always lack.
So do not hold back and open your hearts and get out there for everyone to see and at the same time help where it is most needed! Remember that every penny that your piece will earn may provide an orphan on the other side of the world the opportunity to take a step in their life!
You can bring your works to us in Tibet Open House / Communication Space Školská 28 in the 8.8. - 15.11.2017 10 am - 7 pm, MO-FRI.
